Add iCloud Mail
Sign in to iCloud Mail with an Apple app-specific password—not your Apple Account password.
Turn on iCloud Mail first
Your Apple Account needs iCloud Mail enabled with an @icloud.com address (on iPhone: Settings → your name → iCloud → Mail). Accounts registered with a phone number or third-party email can still generate app-specific passwords, but mail sign-in will fail until iCloud Mail is turned on. Managed Apple Accounts from school or work do not offer app-specific passwords and are not supported.
Generate an app-specific password
Sign in at account.apple.com and open App-Specific Passwords under Sign-In and Security. Two-factor authentication is required. The password looks like xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx—the dashes are part of the password.
Use your primary address and the password
Enter your primary @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com address together with the app-specific password. Aliases, Hide My Email addresses, and addresses with +tags cannot sign in.
Changing your Apple Account password revokes it
When you change or reset your Apple Account password, Apple automatically revokes every app-specific password. If Orvia Mail suddenly stops signing in, generate a new password and enter it again.
If sign-in fails
Make sure you pasted the app-specific password (keep the dashes, no extra spaces), not your Apple Account password, and that iCloud Mail is enabled. After several failed attempts Apple may temporarily throttle sign-ins—wait a few minutes before retrying. Still stuck? Email orvia@aedc.cc with the error.
