Gmail setup
Gmail is one of the standard mailboxes Orvia Mail supports. Add it within the ordinary mailbox allowance and sign in through Google’s official authorization page—you never type your Google password into Orvia Mail.
Add Gmail like any other mailbox
Choose Gmail in Orvia Mail, enter the exact address, sign in through Google’s official authorization page and approve access, then finish the first Inbox and Sent sync. Free accounts can add Gmail within the ordinary mailbox allowance—no separate purchase or Gmail eligibility check.
Use the official Google authorization page
When you add Gmail, Orvia Mail opens the Google authorization page. You sign in with Google and approve access there; Orvia Mail receives only the tokens needed for mail access.
Access is used for mail client features
Authorization supports syncing, searching, reading, replying, archiving, and sending Gmail. Orvia Mail does not store your Google password, and Gmail content stays on your Mac by default.
You can revoke access in your Google Account
If you stop using Orvia Mail, open your Google Account third-party app access settings and revoke Orvia Mail access.
Mail is not proxied through Orvia Mail
Orvia Mail communicates directly with Gmail. Cloud AI is off by default; when you turn it on globally, Gmail is included like every other mailbox and can be turned off individually. Cloud processing still passes the same privacy gateway.
